ShenLongGuo (the Land of Dragons)
The country ruled by the Shenlong, the race of true dragons. Highly ethnically diverse, it is an important kingdom that is a geopolitical powerhouse both locally and globally.
Structure
The country is ruled by the Red Dragon King, a position inherited from father to eldest son. Beneath the Red Dragon King is the Council of Red and Yellow Dragons (though the Yellow Dragon Clan refuses to acknowledge the legitimacy of the Red Dragon's rule). Equal to the Red Dragon King is the Blue Dragon's Patriarch, who serves as Councilman of Ventus' Magic Council.
Beneath the Dragons are the People's Consulates, an office of the nation's best and brightest strategists, economists, and scholars. They create laws and projects for the Dragons to approve.
History
The land of ShenLongGuo was founded in Pre-History. Tradition holds that, after the Awakening, the three Dragon Clans erected villages in a valley separated by two rivers: the Orange River and the Green River. As other races began to settle into the area, the Shenlong taught them their languages, their arts, and their customs, creating a truly unique civilization.
Sometime around the Age of Angels, the three Dragon Clans agreed to reject the infleunce of the Angels, keeping ShenLongGuo independent. When the Angels kidnapped the child Cao Pi, a child of the Yellow Clan, the three Clans joined forces in the war against the Angels.
During the first years of the Magic Council, the three clans disagreed on who should rule the land. A war started between the clans, called The Great Dragon War, and it lasted 100 years. It ended when the Blue Dragons agreed to surrender their rights to any political power in ShenLongGuo in exchange for exclusive rights to a permanent seat in the Magic Council. The Red Dragons were given power over ShenLongGuo, and the Yellow Dragons were given authority over the Hainan Archipelago.
