Shopkeeps & Bartenders Shopkeeps: Bedlam’s Brewery: Potion Shop, Samara Dale - (45) Human woman, wild frizzy brown hair and unblinking dry brown eyes, eccentric, narcoleptic, mad genius. Laughs for no reason. Main supplier for the Merchant, has many experimental mixtures (but can’t legally sell them.) She has a health potion that heals a 1d4 +1 per round for 1d6 +2 rounds (2000G), a few fire resistance potions (due to increasing demand), several poisons (strictly for adventurers’ use), and she does commissions. Has a monocle-wearing Gnome ‘butler’ she calls Stubby. His name is Stephano. . The gnome family that runs The Unturned Stone: Trinket & Enchantment shop. Wants to make his parents proud (who immigrated from Thellor) and is very passionate about magic, history, Ichar and ancient/enchanted artifacts.   Granny’s Gifts: Marigold Matthewson - (77) Sweet maternal old human lady with a lovely little antique shop she runs with her equally sweet young granddaughter, a 18 year old halfling girl named Finny who is not actually her granddaughter but Finny just allows Marigold to call her ‘Annabelle’ and ‘granddaughter’ and only takes the cash Marigold gives her as her pay.   Carter ‘ography: The Ultimate Adventurer’s One-Stop Shop. Carter Samuels - (25) Energetic half-elf woman, clumsy, earnest disaster artist, cartographer, and the recent sole-owner of an adventurer’s one-stop shop. Her father used to be an adventurer and she would connect to him through maps, he would bring back rough maps of his travels and tell her about them and they would work together to make adventurer’s maps. She now sells copies of those maps along with anything an adventurer needs. Her greatest dream is to be an adventurer herself and see the world she’s drawn, but her father died before she was old enough and she’s been setting up this shop to honour him (and to not abandon her mother.)   Fortune’s Forbidden: Virgil Ortheus - (28) Super goth/emo half-elf man, owner/appraiser of cursed/outlawed items, has a large collection of various skulls, tons of cult-themed/edgy merchandise (Armageddon, The New Order, Raven Queen, The Blackbird, etc.) There are three warrants to search the premises hanging as decoration at the front of his store. He’s very ‘fight the power’ and will very likely go off about the war, ‘peace’ and corruption.   The Treasure Trove: Dennis Lemuri - (21) Super laid back charismatic young human eccentric somewhat arrogant new shop owner, built his own shop instead of working for his dad (took his inheritance tho) and filled with funky weird wild stuff, mostly junk but some treasures. Flirts with the entire party, then asks them if the shop owner across the street has been outside yet. Janet Ur - (22) Fairly punk owner of The Silver String, a musician’s shop across the road. Very chill, has a secret life as a performing bard (that Dennis secretly knows about).   The Powder Keg: Zeke Straunder - (26) Grumpy blunt half-tiefling man with anger issues who runs a coastal shop of weapons and explosives. There is a security guard inside the premises at all times. He does supply for the Icharan Navy and border guards. There’s also a coastal patio bar and a small boutique of clothing in the back of the shop that Zeke also owns and manages. Ethan Northstar - (25) Golden retriever heart happy innocent waiter/bouncer half-orc boy who fanboys over adventurers. Besties with tsundere Zeke. Nia Misoa - (27) Sassy bossy sly sociable bartender planetar aasimar (very green) woman. Has a thing going on with Zeke but they’re both in total denial.   The Lily of the Valley Comfy Boutique: Liliander Peachpetal - (129) Sunshine precious pink-haired green-eyed gnome druid (Lilypichu). Sells paintings (does commissions), jewelry, hand-knitted sweaters, scarves, hats, mittens, stuffed animals, toys, etc. Entire shop is lined with the flowers she sells and the walls are covered with her artwork. There are two small dogs with fey-like characteristics sleeping at the desk. She also has a piano that she would be playing as the party comes in. Constantly talks up her husband Mykull’s joint shop and brags about how much of a cool genius he is but won’t let you see him unless she’s sure you won’t be assholes. Mykull’s Artificery of Wizardry & Repair Shop: Mykull Peachpetal - (19) Genius crackhead softboi artificer goblin man, most of his personal projects are torture devices or repairs for Lily’s things. He does loads of commissions and is extremely popular with the locals and nobles, even outside of his hometown. Though he has an air of mystery that allows almost no one to have met him, at least without his full metal working suit and mask on. There is no accessible entrance to his shop (which is in the garage attached to Lily’s shop that is just their house) so customers have to go through Lily’s shop to get to Mykull. This keeps him safe from racists.   Meats and Sweets Shop: Ivandra Foroshi - (29) 1000% done human butcher ranger lady wearing a bloody apron and rubber gloves (Yvonne). Most of the shop is a butcher’s with bloody meat hanging/displayed everywhere, but in one corner there’s a small display of a whole pile of delicious looking sweets packaged cute and decorated with flowers that doesn’t match the store vibe at all. Lily made the candies and insisted Ivandra add them to the store.   Satin River: Fashion boutique franchise founded by Lacey Vincent - (23) Bubbly, sassy, smart judgey flirtatious fashion icon aasimar bard woman (Poki). Sells all manner of clothing and jewelry, including plenty of enchanted items.   Bartenders:   Thatcher’s Inn & Brewery Lara Thatcher - (28) Red-head blind half-elf woman, sweetheart, very capable of managing her routine (serving drinks, taking cash, chatting with customers) and very insightful/perceptive through hearing and touch. Bojack Ingar Thatcher - (32) Massive intimidating half-orc man with a heart of gold and a total no-nonsense policy when it comes to disrespecting his wife (Lara). The bouncer/bodyguard. Lets her do the talking most of the time (watching like a hawk) but can be very chatty and friendly if he and Lara trust you. Thomas Thatcher - (17) Red-head aasimar sweet charming angel boy, adopted son of Lara and Bojack. The waiter, busser, runner, etc.   The Sleepy Giant Mila Janine - (46) Tough, boisterous heavily tattooed drunk smoker halfling woman. Conrad Arthur - (54) Lazy, cranky zero care drunk smoker halfling ex husband, hangs around the bar to drink and sometimes gets yelled into doing work for the bar. Fern Janine - (21) Young halfling waitress. Like her mother but sober and clean. Able Janine - (17) Young halfling boy, ‘bouncer’ but more of a greeter, also a busser.   Han’s Ale Hansel Richardson - (89) Stubborn human man who refuses to retire. Glenda Richardson - (85) His equally stubborn and sarcastic wife who tells him he has to retire before he drops dead in front of his customers. They have hired young people working as waiters/waitresses/bussers/bouncers. (Staff is mostly tieflings, half-orcs, other minorities because they have a hard time finding employment and the Richardsons want to keep the young people out of the street and out of danger.)   Denan Opalheart - (67) Cranky cynical human man who runs the Adventurer’s Guild bar. If you ask his opinion he basically tells you’re wasting your time taking any of their jobs (mainly missing persons and wanted posters) and recommends The Bull Pit for some real (underground) work. The posters are expensive to put up and if you take one you have to find the subject or return the poster.
