Other NPCs Willabethelle Lenderman - (257) A mischievous but kind old gnome woman, extremely wealthy gardener and owner of a grand estate and several cats. Keeps an absurd amount of young help tending to her grounds, animals, cleaning, etc. just to keep them out of ‘trouble’. Former pirate, knows a lot about the current slave trade and secretly combats it. Has a specific bone to pick with the leader of the Blackbird (Carnage used to be her first mate *known then as Freedom* but Willa wasn’t able to dissuade her from going down the path of vengeance and their relationship ended with bad blood.) The party can be led to her by finding her cat, or by investigating the slave trade/the Blackbird/pirates.
Rose Porridgepot - (150) Generous quiet greedy indulgent hardly oblivious absent-minded chaotic protective entertainer involved in crime, one of the patrons at The Bull Pit. Has connections to Morning Star, pretty neutral terms, she knows Wendy.
Killian - (29) A lost soul. A human man who can’t seem to remember where he was last. He keeps saying he’s forgetting something important. (Retrograde amnesiac, barely survived an encounter with the pirates who abducted his brother, Felix. They were both pirates together, but refused involvement with the slave trade, even set free a ship full of child slaves from a pirate ship they overpowered.) The buyers of those slaves were unhappy and hired crew from the Blackbird to take the brothers out, but the captain of the Blackbird avoided killing Felix because months earlier they had stolen treasure from the Blackbird’s keep and buried it somewhere only Felix knows (as insurance of their lives). Felix Haddock - (32) A bold and brazen captain, high intelligence, not so high wisdom. Not an idiot, just a dumbass. Cares about his little brother more than anything, believes contrary to what the Blackbird crew believe but not to what they tell him, that his brother is alive. Was quickly gaining an intimidating and respectable reputation in the pirate world, but was a little too ambitious for his own good. His crew tried to come for him, but he ordered them to abandon him and seek out his brother’s orders, so the rest escaped.
Justice Manfred - (36) A peach tiefling conman who keeps crossing paths with the party. He can’t use much magic, aside from charm-persuasion effects. He’s *very* persuasive. But he’s a disaster, not even on the wanted posters, just a petty menace.
Rex Vinoha - (31) A very tired, depressed, grumpy, unkempt variant human man who runs the biggest (and newest) Icharan orphanage and works as a teacher at the school where all his kids attend. He’s an absolute gentle sweetheart with the little kids and a total tsundere to the older kids but he loves them all with his whole heart and works so hard to make them happy and give them a good childhood. All the kids adore him. (takes care of 30+ kids, most of them minorities) Hayden Ansen - (32) A bright and chipper talkative loud morning half-elf man, Rex’s best friend who helps run the orphanage, is a part time adventurer, part time teacher and is great with the kids. Also depressed. Nina In’xai - (30) A suave, charming sneaky half-tabaxi woman, former adventurer now full time manager of the orphanage. Lovely and good with the kids, has history with Rex. Her great grandparents were immigrants of Shaix. Doesn’t pillage, guns for hire and treasure hunters, powerful and intimidating but golden-hearted. Robin hood ship, but will murder you and your whole gang if you mess with them, their clients, or anyone they care for. Katernin follows the direction of her angel, serves as a ‘priest’ of Aasterinian. First Mate Kosef - (29) Aasimar brother, charismatic face.
Morning Star:
Wendy Miran - (36) Human woman. Leader of a large faction of young Icharan rebels and conspiracy theorists who believe Ichar was responsible for the genocide of the Earth Genasi kingdom, is still continuing its takeover of Othela in the peacetimes, and is working with pirates and rich slavers to sell off Icharan and Othelan kids for profit and exploitation of Othela. They’re essentially allies of Othela and anti-Ichar and they’re working to combat fascism, find/free slaves and uncover conspiracy and war crimes. And in many ways they’re right. She founded Morning Star 9 years ago with her husband, brother, sister, best friend and three other friends after her 10 year old daughter and 7 year old son were taken by pirates from the docks. The guard, Duke and judge all ignored her plea and gave up on the investigation and she knew it was a cover-up. Her husband, brother and best friend have all lost their lives to the cause.
Evelyn Miran - (33) Hardcore, really smart investigator, stealthy rogue, general badass who believes Armageddon is right and Ichar should burn but Wendy won’t let her go so extremist. Basically the Raph to her Leo. The husband was Donatello and the brother was Mikey. The best friend was April.
Aust - (303) Dark-skinned halfling former soldier turned criminal agent of Morning Star, independent chaotic curious blinding rage against Icharan politicians and has a lot of dirt on them from military background but would most likely be killed for coming out with it. Has 2 brothers Himo (Older lumber laborer lawful good boy - relations went sour after Aust went criminal) and Vanuath (Younger sailer neutral sweet boy, still friendly with Aust as well as Himo).
Wrath Chergoba - (24) Pale tiefling woman eldritch knight spy with tattoos who drinks everyone under the table. Her parents were arrested for ‘treason’ when she was 8, she believes they learned secrets the government couldn’t let out. Her goal is to find and free them. Met Devotion at 17, married him at 20. Joined MS close to its founding, being the daughter of Wendy’s best friend. Devotion Chergoba - (24) Orangey tiefling man former simple labour man (named Dale) raised in an orphanage who was relentlessly abused by coworkers, neighbours, bosses, the system, etc. but didn’t mind much until he met and immediately fell for Wrath. She was appalled by the way he was treated and how he let it happen and recruited him to Morning Star. He named himself after his love for her when he proposed, and took her last name when they married.
Gilan Amberhorn - (27) Human ranger, generous good-hearted fiercely ambitious with the tendency to be extremely rude, he fell in love with a dragonborn woman at 16, dated her until his parents found out at 19. They kicked him out, tried to attack her, the police arrested her instead of his parents. She was let go and they ran away together, joined Morning Star, then she went missing.
