Important NPCs

Important NPCs Olivia Hampton (The Merchant’s wife) - (33) a genius triton alchemist, enchantment specialist and artificer. Shy and extremely introverted, prefers to stay indoors. Loves her husband.   Royal Family:   King Lionel Dimesc - (84) an honest and caring half-elf man, quite naive, trusting and oblivious. A hard decision-maker, stubborn and unyielding, deeply loves his family, is compassionate for his people, and has more love for Othelans than the majority of his people. Carries a strong intimidation for a young and inexperienced king, would be extremely dangerous to the corruption around him if he was aware of it. (He arranged the peace treaty the first year he came into power, out of compassion though he was uneducated in the true history behind the war and why the Othelans waged it and kept purposefully in the dark.)   Queen Andrea Dimesc - (129) a colder, world-weary elven woman, tired and hurting. She misses her son a lot and sees more of the corruption than Lionel sees, but doesn’t tell him because she doesn’t believe he can make any real difference and doesn’t want to break his heart/steal his innocence. She also secretly believes he knows more than he lets up and partly blames him for their son’s disappearance. Doesn’t know specifics, just that everyone is lying.   Princess Liana - (42) eldest child, neurotic and motherly mostly elven woman, more like her father, Deku-esc, has powerful political pull (but still in the dark about corruption).   Prince Andreas - (35) free-spirit half(ish)-elf man, a passionate and caring activist very aware of corruption and fought a lot with the queen, king and many of his officials. (Lots of miscommunication) He finally ‘disappeared’ after finding out about the child slavery plot 8 years ago (assuming his parents knew) and left to be with his love. He met her at 22 while searching through trinket shops and fell in love. He didn’t want to bring into the royal life (she’d hate it) and he didn’t want to be part of it anymore either.   Princess Selene - (15) youngest child, sweetheart, wild and mischievous half-elven girl, spoiled, anger-issues, has hot and cold relationship with her mom and older sister, adores her father and badly misses her brother.   Royal Advisors:   Nestor Fairworth - (108) half elf, the king’s uncle once removed, the absolute sleazeball that’s behind the slave trade epidemic. He and ‘Amalia Goldstein’ agree on assimilating Othela and Ichar, but the king ended the war. They made an alliance that gave them both what they wanted, Nestor wanted slaves for his own use and to provide to buyers, Heleana wanted protection/assistance as she subtly continued the Othelean takeover. They are the heart of the corruption keeping the king in the dark, paying off the government and pirates (with gold and slaves) and pinning the blame of the missing kids on the Blackbird and Othela. They would kill the king, but they are waaay more afraid of the queen. If her husband was killed she would absolutely uproot all of their plans. They’ve tried to kill her twice just out of nervousness, but she’s immune to poison and disease and now the king won’t let her stray from the castle for fear of assassins. The fact that Alandro and The New Order are attempting to kill the king makes Nestor and Heleana absolutely panic.   Lemund Richten - (216) one of the younger elvish advisors, close to the king, basically Nestor’s errand boy and face for the king, idolizes Nestor and has only vague knowledge of what his plots are, just knows he has to keep the king in the dark. (He’s told to keep the Othelan takeover secret and can’t let the king know how widespread or major the slave trade/missing kids epidemic is, any whisper of it must be blamed on the Blackbird)   Erold Manchestor - (889) elvish elder of the Royal Advisors, wise mentor of the king, immune to corruption but lives in isolation in the castle and only hears what the king tells him.   Yar’wei Merinol - (174) young elvish trusted advisor, close to the queen, disagrees with the king on most issues but he likes to listen to her despite stubbornly remaining with his decisions. She disagrees with trying to keep the peace, considering the inevitable. She is not corrupt.   Corrian Filio - (94) human advisor, argued a lot with the former king, was the husband of a late princess, one of the strongest voices in agreement with the peacetimes (not that the king needed any voices of approval for that.)   Ly’fel Orphean - (456) elvish lawful neutral advisor man, hard to read, hard to impress.   Tiana Ruthfort - (649) elvish true neutral advisor woman, cold and uncaring, has a soft spot for the queen (Andrea looked up to her), is fairly corrupt (keeps the king in the dark about the takeover, war history, and the truth behind the missing kids) she thinks the king is a naive idiot and has no compassion for children she doesn’t know. Was once a much brighter and more passionate soul that wanted to make a better world but centuries of war and unchanging corruption changed her tune and now she looks out for herself.   Truth Seekers:   Malachai Lyr’es - (874) Eldest and Archbishop, stoic and methodical, wholly devout, been head of the Truth Seekers almost since the foundation of Ichar. Orpheus Wan’el - (234) Second youngest member, assigned to be cleric to the king for his greetings (emergency revive, zone of truth, etc.) Sy’vara - (352) Younger woman, also assigned to be the king’s cleric.   Marquets:   Rupert Eustace - (104) middle-age half-elf money-grubber man, self-centered, sly and greedy. Damien Court - (56) dark-skinned human man, everyone’s favourite tax collector, chosen by the king himself, generous, merciful, friendly. Dreamer Flameheart - (27) youngest and first ever tiefling marquet woman, yellow w orange eyes and brown curls, also chosen by the king, faces a lot of disrespect but does a good job. Amari Truespear - (164) older half-elf woman, terrifying capital judge, cruel cold and exhausted. Yuna Gracia - (325) elvish woman, tough hardass, takes no crap. Wilheim Sorenfield - (533) grumpy haughty arrogant elvish man, doesn’t take bribes out of pride but is very self-centered and cares little about ‘small affairs’, which includes missing kids. Orland Lathlend - (123) older half-elf man, good with numbers, blunt, not good with people. Arin Vanderstol - (39) deceptively charming/friendly human man, bardish vibes with a dark heart, will smile at you as he extorts your life savings and damns your family to poverty, chosen by the eldest princess. Ewellamary Starflower - (99) adorable math grandma gnome, loves kids and very lenient on taxation deadlines, chosen by the king, a bit of a messy clutzs, but has organized chaos. Vivian Cloverton - (55) oblivious older human woman, chosen by Prince Andreas, kind and excitable, loves her people but is trusting and easily manipulated.   Malcolm Fenrick - (41) Royal guard, kind human man, hard-working single dad of his daughter, dutifully serves and genuinely cares for and respects the king and royal family. Elysia Fenrick - (17) Studying researcher at the capital college, activist, smart human girl, looks up to her father and wants to be just like him.   Wizards of Ildeia’s Prestigious Academy of Advanced Learning and Magical Practice:   Lin’fy Selvest - (137) Half-elf man. The King’s personal Royal Wizard of Magical Defense. Tyron Aberon - (67) Human man, the King’s other personal wizard bodyguard. Omar Geldstein - (48) Half-elf man, high level mage.   Shaix Party:   Lei’xo - (34) Yuan-ti pureblood dark skinned man, black hair tied up, scruffy beard, looks mostly human besides some scales and the yellow snake eyes, is the leader but doesn’t do the talking, has a menacing air but is actually quite lawful, will never bite first, charming once you get on his good side. (Wild magic sorcerer) Xensi - (29) Green/beige lizardman, friendly and sociable, honest as long as Lei’xo allows and a curious bean. Fascinated by foreign culture and intrigued by people. (Cleric) Esa - (15) Energetic beige rabbit girl, wrapped up in her own little word, inventor, explorer and genius, obsessed with artifacts. (Rogue/Artificer)   Armageddon:   Jin Song - (26) Fire genasi boy, leader of Armageddon, devout extremist of Kossuth looking to bring down his wrath on Ichar for their crimes. His sister was abducted at 11, he tracked her down with a party of his tribe mates (at 14) but when he found her she was dead in the hands of Icharan slavers. They killed them, freed the slaves, and has lived on the run ever since, gaining followers from Othela, his tribe, his sister tribes, and even some exiled Icharans. Lee Asphalt - (42) Right hand man, former fire genasi tribe advisor, hardass, football coach type/russian torturer. Fenrick Hotspring - (25) Hothead barbarian fire genasi, Kylie Benson - (23) Cunning, viscous warlock half-orc, Persistence - (25) Chaotic evil red tiefling man, Eliot - (24) Bitter pinkish tiefling woman, Mau’ve Jiem - (31) Outraged drow woman, lost her family. Anna Hall - (19) human Icharan exile woman. Razu - (23) Goblin beast ranger woman, rides a dire wolf, former urchin turned priest of Kossuth, very few memories of past/childhood because it was traumatic from war to slavery. She barely remembers her siblings, but knows she has to find and save them from slavery.   Simon Ewenbranch - (212) Firbolg (blue fur, white hair, black eyes) wildmagic sorcerer former pirate/member of Armageddon.  Spent first 200~ years as a simple fisherman in Ladina, isolated from society with his big family, got bored of boring life once his closest sibling left home. Left home and started working as a sailor, naivety quickly got him mixed up with a dangerous pirate crowd. A party that hired him to sail got murdered by those pirates and he was taken by them and sold as a slave to a Bostvarian. The field he slaved at got raided by orcs, a friend he made in the field dove on Simon in the bloodbath and they played dead to survive. By the time the orcs left, Simon's friend had bled out.  Simon escaped the field and tried to get home. Made a few new travelling friends who helped him, ran into trouble (local bandits) along the way but he made it home. His friends stayed a while with him & his family. Woke up one day to his family home on fire. Parents, older sister and younger brother died, two younger sisters and three of four travelling friends survived. He and his friends left the sisters with a family friend and went to take revenge on the bandits responsible. They slaughtered all the bandits and freed Ladina of their oppression, but Simon was the only survivor. He blames himself for his friends' deaths because his volatile wild magic hindered/hurt them during the battle. He took his sisters and moved to Ichar. Two years later, both sisters vanished from the market. Simon searched, found they'd been captured, joined a benevolent pirate crew that had experience rescuing slaves taken by other pirates. He found his youngest sister, Mila, on a ship of slaves but in the battle to save her she was killed. He spent three years, porting in Redrock, slaughtering pirates and searching for his other sister, Candice.  He finally found her, having already been rescued and recruited by Armageddon. He joined her and Armageddon, mostly to keep her safe. They worked with them for 5 years, until they were high-ranking members specializing in undercover work, especially valuable because of their shared gift of wild magic sorcery. Candice was given a critical mission, but Simon refused to allow it and volunteered himself instead, since it was very likely a suicide mission. Candice refused that of course, but Lee decided to do as Simon wanted without telling her. They sewed an artifact crucial to completing Armageddon's ritual into Simon's chest, with the intention of him smuggling it into a temple of Oghma, down into a secluded part of the crypt. Once inside, he was to scratch the floor with runes and then activate the artifact with his wild magic, which would rip through him, marking the activated artifact with blood and breaking another weak point between planes, offering him a potential escape if he survived his wounds. However, Candice found out after the surgery and flipped out. A fight broke out, quickly becoming out of control because of wild magic, and Lee *mistakenly* killed her. Simon tried to kill him in revenge, but everything was crashing down at once. Candice's last words were that she wasn't even convinced Ichar deserved to burn. Their obession with vengeance would also destroy more families, just like it was the last of hers. So Simon, outnumbered and in grief, ran. He ran with the vital artifact in his chest. And he hid, and he kept running. And he's still running, with no where left to go.   Othelans:   Trey Stonefoot - (15) One of the earth genasi children who was an unborn child when they were banished to the Deep Ethereal. In recent weeks of the planes closing together, Trey managed, somewhat accidentally, to slip out of the deep ethereal and into the border ethereal. He has yet to find his way out or back to his family, but has been searching the lands for someone with a powerful magical energy to help him and his tribe. He’s been in a lot of danger because of the ethereal beasts that travel the border ethereal.   Veyrn Malquis Aloro - (74) Half-drow woman, current running leader of Othela for the last , has a lot of ancestral guilt, loves her people, hates Ichar but has some amount of respect for the king, fiercely protective of the tribes and has good relations with all but the Fire tribe, who don’t like her. Surprisingly strong, exceptionally beautiful, mid-level wizard, ambitious and hopeful. Immeral Aloro - (86) Older brother, a senator and part of a rival political faction to his sister, needless to say the relationship is tense, but they still have tea and play chess together twice a week. Riardon Aloro - (70) Younger brother and Fy’lei of Malquis, eager good boy, loves his sister, doesn’t get along with Immeral, especially about Malquis, but still loves him.   Others:    Alandro Benqo - (276) Self-centered manipulative leader of The New Order, still holds ultimate power over them but stays mostly in hiding. Has a handhold of power in nearly every extremist group and branch of government on either side of every argument and enjoys his secret control. Doesn’t have any particular interest in which empire rises or falls, but enjoys sending them on their quests to change the world. Heleana hates him and they’ve been playing cat and mouse for nearly two centuries. The New Order hates the King for ending the war and believes Ichar should rule itself and do away with archaic royal lineage. They believe Ichar should control Othela’s land and would love to see conflict sparked, but they mainly spread their influence through the guards and people of Ichar, gradually building up mutiny. They want the King dead more than anything. Alandro has no real investment in any of these conflicts, he is known by many names by The New Order, Morning Star, and several other small insurrectionists. He enjoys chaos, and has fun running around messing with people (especially Heleana) and staying alive.   Danzel Jofessin - (298) Became a mess after the chaos of the fall of the High Society, and the war. His wife Miella passed away before the war ended, she never got to see peace or her son again. Danzel fell into a deep, dissociated depression. Has been drifting, his daughter finally got him to move to Ladina, but he only slightly improved.   Tisaela Jofessin - (194) Has tried to keep it together, ever since the fall. Worked hard to influence politics and help people through war times, trying to keep her family together at the same time. Kept busy and encouraged her father to do the same after Miella died. Pushed herself further into her studies since the war ended, picked up magic, and now occupies a prominent seat in government and has been one of the front-runners trying to put an end to the slave trade epidemic. She frequently scrys on/messages Fenzel but he keeps everything vague as possible. She warned and begged him not to touch the New Order, but he refused to listen.   Fenzal Jofessin - (153) Incredibly spoiled, studied abroad in Bostaria to get out of the house, came back home, passionate about the slave epidemic and encouraged Tisaela into the cause along with him. Joined Morning Star and took a mission to infiltrate the New Order and disappeared 3 years later, not before sending a message to Tisaela not to worry, he was fine and he would return. Tisaela is very worried and Danzel had a breakdown immediately, convinced he had lost his son again. He’s been missing for almost two years now. Missing poster has him last seen the 12th of New Spring, 2300 AC. (Months are divided/labeled New, Early, Mid and Late of each season)   Ulas Rendricten - (279) Ran away to Bostvaria to escape the fall, stayed away because of the war. When he heard of the peace treaty he considered returning to search for his old colleagues, and then he met Fenzal and heard about Enas. He guided Fenzal through his studies to honour Enas, and became worried when Fenzal started talking about his plans. He tried to warn Fenzal, but he wouldn’t listen and eventually left Ulas in anger. Ulas reached out and connected with Tisaela, but Fenzal refused to speak to him. Ulas advised Tisaela to look after Fenzal and keep him out of trouble. Tisaela informed Ulas of Fenzal’s disappearance later, and Ulas moved back to Ichar to help Tisaela and hopefully find the boy.   Heleana Rhodina - (2163) A quasi-deity (modified Death Titan) who was born in the bloodbath of the Calamity, the fight between Oghma and Kossuth. She was born of Kossuth’s blood, Oghma’s feud, and the death of an innocent child of a devout village of elves and humans, and the only memory she has of her mortal life is her death. To her, war is order and order is unity, knowledge is strength, and power is victory. She sent the earth genasi away and started the war to unify her people. She went deep into hiding for nearly a century, still pulling strings from the shadows, and in recent times rose through the political ranks as a young half-elf countess (Amalia Goldstein). She is part of the complex web that keeps the new king in the dark to corruption. She kept Enjas’ soul in her pocket like a petty prize, waiting for the right time to enact her punishment. She nearly forgot about him, until she met Tisaela and Fenzel, messing with her plans. She is calculated, cocky, petty, cold, ruthless and constantly bemused by the emotions and stupidity of mortals. Her only emotions are rage and amusement, and her only goal is war, knowledge and power, as commanded by Oghma. But she has plenty of fun along the way. She charms and manipulates everyone around her, and she’d never admit the affection she has for the apprentice she keeps reincarnating.   Bela’luur - (71) This is the fifth time Heleana has reincarnated her servant/apprentice. This time was botched and she’s a bald half drow who normally drinks a potion that makes her appear as a human woman (with hair) but the enchantment is weakens over time, especially if she uses a lot of magic and doesn’t rest. She does Heleana’s dirty work while Heleana rises in politics. Heleana can’t grant magic to others, and can only walk in disguise because of her innate ability. Bela’luur is hopelessly incompetant when it comes to basic wizard magic, but her talents lie in necromancy. Her original form was a young Rhoadoxys half-elven priestess of Oghma, who assisted Heleana and died ‘saving’ her. Her true name was Bel’lanna (meaning faithful daughter), but Heleana changed it to mean ‘loyal servant’ when she first reincarnated her. She always wears a necklace with a Soul Stone so every time she dies her soul is trapped and Heleana can bring her back again. If the stone was ever broken she would be gone for good.   Dignitary Lorris Auvril - (684) an elven woman, was the person in charge of Rhodaoxys before its fall. She was older, and held to the traditions quite strongly, but was otherwise fairly non-influential in the policies of Rhodaoxys.   Captain Carnage - (40) Purple tiefling woman with red eyes and a deceptively calm and friendly demeanor. HIGH charisma, proficiency in persuasion and intimidation, barbarian. Her bloodlust is only known through the legend of The Blackbird because if an enemy witnesses her carnage, they don’t live to tell it. They are actually the scapegoats for the trafficking - Carnage would absolutely never participate in slave trade (she used to be a slave). Her ship is blamed because it’s the only kind of cover that would explain why so many kids are going missing. Lesser pirates shouldn’t be trafficking with such ease unless there are strings being pulled within the countries they’re taking from. The Blackbird are actually fairly ‘good’ pirates. (Don’t murder innocents or pillage villages, they hunt treasure, and murder other pirates and rich people. Carnage just wants to kill anyone who reminds her of her former slavers.) First Mate Xin - (34) Massive Shingese goliath man, loyal, cold and brutal. Drinks his respect women juice, not much of a talker, has a sense of humour, awaits his command and will not hesitate once ordered.   Cole Bradley - an aasimar boy, raised in the capital and trained for the army, whose soul fused with a ghost of Rhoadoxys when he wandered out on his post and got dragged into the plane of the dead. As far as the other soldiers know, he got lost and hid from ghosts for a day. To him it was 5 years and it changed him forever.
