Temple of Closed Eyes

The Temple in Vrae is the world's largest and most important Green Sun monastery, home to the Sunspeaker and five of the nine living sages. It is an extravagant edifice with five towers around a central dome.

Architecture

The central foyer is notable for its great dome and green glass oculus, which projects an orb of light traveling across the floor mosaics throughout the day. This room is surrounded by a series of small private chambers used as living space for the monks and the Speaker. The five towers arranged around the main part of the building house libraries, relics, and at their summits the chambers of the sages, who spend their lives in deep meditation and take only the hour preceding midnight to care for their physical bodies.
