The Province of Forgelect

Forglect was once the heart of the Empire with its production lines providing them with weapons and commodities to help fud the war and the home life during the Angelion War. With Forglect Mountain as its capital many though the sun would never set on its glory, but now all that remains are ruins of splendor, a mountain once bright with the light of innovation is now dark and barren. The cities of its provinces that once were full of the highest of tech are now junk and scrap yards and the city that would never rest is now full of junkers and raiders. How could such a great city fall so fast many do ask? This answer is one no one truly knows, as how it happened is mysterious in nature some think the Flock may have killed the Inventor of the Mountain and tried to steal its core while others think that the Empire grew fearful of the power that he commanded and took him out, none the less whatever happened would result in a day known as 'The Day the Heart Stopped' a event that put Forglect where it is today. The day of that dreadful day started like any other as people recounted it had been a bright sunny day with no sign of the tragedy to come. What is known that around midday as a storm was rolling in all of the automatons in the entire province locked up at the same time, it didn't matter if you were in the desert selling wares or in the mechanical city of Forglect itself all of the automatons from servants to soldiers to robotic pets had locked up. Then about a hour later a blackout hit the region hard as well Forglect prided itself on its tech so they really didn't have anything prepared for this scenario and but 5 minutes after the blackout hell broke loose as all automatons had their eyes go from a normal neon blue to a deep green and at once announced "Trespassers detected terminating now." These were the four words which would kick off a massacre as the robots big and small began to attack all organic life around them killing hundreds as the day went on and it didn't stop that day as long as these automatons were on they were deadest on killing any organic life. During this time the people made plea to the Empire for assistance who quickly swept in with a military force to battle the machines and in a 6 week long campaign they would finally push to the mountain where they would find very few survivors and a strange sight. While the upper city (Mt Forglect was split into three layers, the upper city where the residential and industrial district was, then in the middle of the mountain was the Inner city, a area where the upper class and commercial district where with some of the highest tech security to guard them, and finally a layer only that the creator of the Mountain was able to access as well this was the Core layer where the core laid and he never allowed anyone other than himself to access it as only he knew how to operate the device. ) was ransacked by the machines and only a few hundred of the thousands of people who lived there survived, but that was not odd, the truly strange was how the doors that lead to the lifts in the inner city were sealed and not just by the doors but by a strange magical seal that not even the realms smartest mages could comprehend. After this event it caused a economic downfall in the region as now factories couldn't work, the mechanical habitats used to grow bountiful crops in the desert failed, and without jobs or anything to provide it caused the regions economy to collapse, while this was happening their was also governmental problems as the province had been run by a High Inventor, that being at the time the great creator of the mountain Jazalk Puropo, and the Council of Cogs, a council which full of elected officials who would vote on laws, were gone. That is part of the mystery as no one knows what happened to all of these people. All of them had disappeared leading to a power grab in the region which further plunged the province into chaos even more. This would only be truly worsened as the Empire decided not to provide aid stating that they were sure the problem would sort itself out and it has been for the fallowing years as now a new Warrior Era seemed to be beginning in the region as warriors with scrappy tech or hotwired older tech began fighting for control while the Empire began to move its responsibilities production to other areas like Zulling, Sashly, and Frogan to make up for the loss of production. Today most citizens of Forglect are rather bitter with the Empire just gave up on them without even trying to assist the people in any way and they still refuse to do anything while the Flock out of pity had sent them more aid in their crisis. Knowing these tensions the Empire has began drafting a large percentage of people from the region which is having a opposite effect of turning more and more people against them.
