Archonate

The Archonate is the military branch of the Aeoran Political system the Pentas Digitorum. The purview of the Archonate is the protection of the borders, building, protection and maintenance of roads, infrastructure and wilderness forts, and the all manner of offensive and defensive war. In addition special cohorts of legionnaires known as the Urbani serve as civil police forces in the larger Aeoran cities.
