System Information

Vanguard is set in a fictional city in New York within the My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) universe. It tells the story of a group of young adult would-be heroes who aim to leave a mark on society. They attend one of the most highly acclaimed universities for Hero Instruction, and all hope to one day soon join the ranks of the officially licensed heroes who protect their city every day.
Players will create characters using the playbooks from the Masks system. Masks is a tabletop roleplaying game, where players take on the roles of young superheroes making their mark in a society filled with superheroes. Several generations after the beginning of the superhero era.
Vanguard uses the majority of the Masks system, which itself is based upon the Powered by the Apocalypse system.

Character creation will be a collaborative process. Characters should work within the constraints of the system, the MHA universe, and the framework of the game which we will be creating together. These are heroes who are a team who will have to work together to accomplish goals, overcome foes, and ultimately save the day.
The game will be played over a Discord server (to be provided) and may also be recorded; to be uploaded to OXYJAR, Youtube, and/or other platforms.
Ultimately, this is the player's story that they choose to forge with these young heroes. Open, honest, and constructive feedback is required in order for this game to work. GM will have final say on all matters, but this is at the end of the day a collaboration heavy game. Working together, we can create
