Chapter 12: Fallout

Last we left our heroes, the Phoenix Team narrowly escaped their encounter with Cherufe with their lives.

Meeting up the following day at Horizon City Medical Center, the team had their first opportunity since the prison break to see and speak with each other. Fenrir took the opportunity to confront Jack about his actions, specifically turning off his phone and facing Cherufe alone while putting his sister in danger. Storming out of the room, Fenrir briefly encountered Jennifer who had come to visit Smoke. She suggested that there would be a decision made soon and that she wished to sit down with the entire Phoenix Team to discuss it.

Meanwhile, Cell tearfully encouraged Katia to continue the work that he had performed. Directing her to his room where she could find the files he already had on Cherufe.

Viktor Petrov, Katia's father contacted her to check if she was alright. In a moment of anger, Frost suggested that it was her fault that Vision, the CEO of Sunrise Hero Agency's death was due to her carelessness.

Later, Fenrir sought out Pintsize to put to rest his suspicions. After finding no evidence of involvement with Cherufe, Pintsize spoke with Fenrir and suggested that there was a certain duality that existed within Horizon City. Stopping short of any solid details, Pintsize implied that there were things not being discussed. Fenrir asked to turn in his resignation. Pintsize encouraged him to speak with his team first before making any rash decisions.
