Raedaru

Raedaru is a rare condition that causes an individual's sensing magic to be permanently active. This causes a lot of problems for said individual, but there is a hidden use for these unwieldy powers.

Who does it affect?

Raedaru exclusively affects those with sensing magic, and similar to Whitefire, it affects both the normal sensing type and also its Alternate. This is actually really rare among magical conditions, as alternates and normal forms are usually so different some question if the two are even the same magic.
It isn't contagious, and is passed down with genetics.

Symptoms

The most common symptoms of Raedaru are:

• Sensing magic being always active
• Using more mana than usual, even for mundane tasks
• Much larger sensing range (normal)
• Increased sensitivity, sometimes leading to pain (inverted)
• Trouble sleeping
• Decreased appetite
• Brightly colored, easy to see veins

There are other, rarer symptoms for Raedaru, but these are seen as the most recognizable and common ones.

How does it affect the different forms?

How indeed. The different forms of sensing react with this condition differently, so let's cover that real quick.

Normal Sensing

As stated before, those with normal sensing and Raedaru usually end up with very large scanning ranges. These ranges can get very, very large. For example, an average sensor can detect and scan magical signatures within a 3 km range, while one with Raedaru might be able to go beyond 15 km.
This increased range doesn't come without a price— Those with Raedaru can still sense around them even when they aren't intentionally using their powers. This can lead to constant headaches if in a crowded area, and sometimes unwillingly learning things they didn't want to know about those around them.

Alternate Sensing

Those with alternate sensing and Raedaru have their magic always activated, this time always being aware if anything or anyone is sensing their magic. Their range is increased, similar to normal sensing, even to similar, if not slightly shorter lengths. 
When they are being sensed, these people might get a slight headache. This only worsens with time and the amount of people, and if they are sensed too long the individual may start to learn things about whoever is targeting them. Similar to the normal sensing version, this can lead to unwillingly learning those types of things.

What is the secret use?

There is a secret ability that those with Raedaru can use— With their increased range, permanent alertness to magical disturbances, and intense sensitivity to magic, they can do something few can do.
With the combination of their increased range, permanent ability to sense magical disturbances, and high sensitivity to magic, these individuals have the ability to lock on to anything with a magical signature.
This lock-on acts like a focus, letting the caster use any spells they want in that area. Theoretically, you could attack someone through the planet with this.
