Stirge

Stirges are a fairly new addition to the taxonomical studies.

They first appeared during the war and are native the the Blood Plains. During the war, through the death of so many innocent lives, it is said that the deaths led to a sundering of the veil that separates this world from the next. Through that tear, many new creatures native to the abyssal plains managed to pass through, none more so than stirges, parasitic creatures that scavenged off what blood remained.
