Protectors of the King

The Protectors of the King is a minor political faction within the Kingdom of Zelmordenar. The protectors are adamantly against the tradition of Zelfian King Suicide, believing the tradition weakens the kingdom and brings chaos. The protectors also believe Zeelan Kroon, the first suicide king, did not actually commit suicide, but they have been able to collect little to no evidence to prove otherwise. Whenever a new king takes the throne, a member of the Protectors of the King will discuss their factions goal with the new king and encourage them to ignore the tradition. Most kings do not listen to the faction, but a few will by either living as a "coward" on the throne or faking their death and living under the protection of the Protectors.
