The Everglades

To the north of Valoroth lay the Everglades, an expanse of forest that stretches almost 200 miles.
The Everglades were once the home of the Elves. While the Elves ruled over the forest it was filled with light and life. But since the start of the Long Death, the Elves have retreated ever inwards, until the only place they can be found now is their capital city, Inyárin. King Alándril is the monarch tasked with ruling during these difficult days.
In their place, darkness has grown. Foul beasts now infest the Everglades, and anyone wishing to travel through the forest best come armed.
Since the start of the Long Death, Elf numbers have dwindled and every Elf is now a valuable resource for the continuation of the race. Because of this, Elves do not take to the battlefield as frontline troops themselves. Instead they have an army of animated constructs that they use as their basic infantry.
In recent years, a plague known as the Grey Sickness has been ravaging the Elf race. It turns Elves into feral beasts and changes their pearl white skin to a dirty and diseased grey.
