The start of something new

Nothing more than fragments, shards of what is to become, lays a young boy, soon to awaken and form the lands known as Arklent. His eyes slowly open as the ground started forming underneath his feet, just for him to plant his bare feet onto the ground. Looking around he saw nothing but darkness and broken shards, looking down he saw an endless void, he walks forward, land forming as he stepped forward, behind him it expanded. The shards started turning into the ground, plant life, and wild animals, who soon became aggressive. Cyrus, scared and unsure of what to do, ran until he could not run anymore. With his back to a large rock, he had nowhere else to run, he closes his teary eyes and screamed, expecting to be torn to shreds, though it did not happen. Upon opening his eyes, only skeletons lying on the ground. He was shocked at the amount of power he held. Hesitantly, he walked over to the animals that were once alive and poked at it, reducing it to ash. After a few hours of taking in what had happened, The new demon started up a fire, using his newfound abilities. Took him some time but he managed to get a shelter built and showed the wildlife where they belonged. A few years later he had expanded his small shelter into a wondrous castle, all the while he honed his powers. He was a king of the wildlife, top of the food chain, though something is missing, something important.
