Barathrum
Geography
As a whole, Barathrum is a frozen wasteland completely unsuitable to civilizations which require farming. Ice, hard rocks, and large mountains make up almost the entirety of the continent. Beneath the ground lies vast networks of caves and tunnels which are passively heated by geothermal heat, making them far more hospitable than the surface. At the 'mouth' of the continent lies a massive volcano which provides some heat to the underground while making the surface colder with its insulating smog.
Fauna & Flora
Hardy creatures live in Barathrum. Most creatures live within the oceans or on the cost for food, but the land creatures live in the mountains, amidst the cracks and crevices which provide shelter from the cold. The creatures are larger and more aggressive than their counterparts in the other lands, but far slower. Many animals feed off of the fungi which grow in the caves which lead up to the surface, venturing out only to find freshwater or to hunt for larger game.
Natural Resources
While its surface holds little of value, Barathrum's underground is rich with minerals, ores, and valuable stone.
