Physical Description

Body Features

Nyxion's once-rocky exterior broke apart and shattered centuries ago, leaving a constantly bleeding and sickly green skin, covered in boils and blood. Nyxion's wing material is similar to draping greenish-red moss, his wing limbs resembling gray tree branches.

Facial Features

Massive dull-green horns emerge from and form the top of his head, going out the the sides and curving back upwards. Nyxion wears a tan colored beard that covers most of his lower face. His facial structure is that of an elderly man with extremely sunken eyes and a long imperious nose.

Apparel & Accessories

Nyxion wears a metallic raiment that resembles the faces of multiple elderly men, each face with a golden ring set in the forehead. It is said that these faces are the faces of people that once stood in Nyxion's path to power. Dull gray cloth hangs from his metal armor, draping across his lower body. Nyxion also wears several trinkets and baubles across his person, most notably a single gold ring burnt into his own forehead, with purple marks surrounding it.

Specialized Equipment

Nyxion is constantly followed by 3 purplish-blue spirit orbs. Not even his fellow Arch-Devils know what they are or their origin, and it is said that the only 3 beings that know what the orbs are are Nyxion, Daebolus, and Dreathos. Regardless of their origin, they act upon Nyxion's will without so much as a word, bringing mystic devastation and obliteration to his enemies. The range required for their functioning might possibly be limitless, as there are legends of purple-blue flames being discovered on the mortal plane, bringing destruction, betrayal, and tyranny wherever they appear.

Personal history

Though not particularly old by Devil standards, Nyxion has spent his entire existence working up the ladder, building towards his desired goal as ruler of the Hells, wearing away at his once pristine devilish physique. His name is feared even by his fellow Arch-Devils, as his presence is a prelude to an impending takeover. Nyxion's constant dedication to increasing his power and prestige has granted him many secrets of the multi-verse and made him into a master of lore, making him a crucial and irreplaceable member of the Hellish hierarchy. If not for his careful manipulations and constant politicking, Nyxion would have a list of enemies a mile long, all willing to take revenge upon him for his brazen and shameless meddling. Nyxion is also one of the most powerful mages in existence, prompting many evil mages to worship him over Dreathos. Being the greatest threat to Daebolus's throne, Daebolus keeps a constant vigilance over Nyxion, staying just one step ahead of him at all times. Some scholars of the Hells are fearful of the day that Nyxion might overthrow Daebolus, fearful of an unknown master over the master they already know.

Employment

Nyxion acts as the right hand of Daebolus, monitoring the most powerful entities in the Hells, and beyond, and keeping them in check. Upon the rare occurrence of an Arch-Devil dying or requiring reassignment, Nyxion acts as the ambassador of Daebolus's will, appointing a new Arch-Devil and demoting a previous one as needed. When Nyxion handles mortal souls, they are those that are so vile, arrogant, and power-hungry that they are immediately transformed into devils and assigned to positions. On very rare occasions, a destined soul will be granted powers nearly equal to an Arch-Devil. This was the very method in which Nyxion and his brother Issimbul were originally granted their devilhood, all those centuries ago.
