Valdrin

Ruled by a council of 9 primal deities and their heavenly retinues, Valdrin is the primal sphere out of 12 spheres of existence. 7 other spheres fell when their own councils of gods became corrupt and sought even greater power, consuming their spheres and leaving only a void in which they became even further twisted. Valdrin is still marred by the great Void Wars in which the Council of 10, lead by the Goddess of Fate Valda, died to stop the invasion of the Void Dwellers that was lead by the betrayer god of Dimensions, Neridian. With Valda's death, the realms were soaked in a great flood of positive energy as both Valda and Neridian died combating one another, leaving the world with random and powerful shifts in the balance of the world. Both mortal and celestial alike feared further betrayal, and thus the Pact of Peranar came to be signed, a promise that no Deity would directly touch or influence the material plane ever again.   Centuries passed, and the immortal Harbinger of the dead God Neridian, Sir Gwain, sought after the empty throne of Valda and Neridian, hoping to exploit the Pact of Peranar to become the only deity capable of rearranging Valdrin as he saw fit. After gathering enough of his dead patron's essence, he attempted to use his minor spark of divinity to finally tear open a path to the divine thrones of Valda and Neridian. However, even as the world was being embalmed in what would be called the War of Ascension, a group of powerful adventurers that had been chosen by fate, known as the Rift Wardens, put a stop to Sir Gwain before he could claim omnipotence. In the Aftermath, Gregory Threnton of the Rift Wardens, and Narzun, a child of pure chaos, took the chance to claim the thrones of Valda and Neridian respectively, ascending to become gods. A new era has begun, and the world is being shaken with new privileges allowed to the deities of Valdrin, who are enacting there will as they have not been able to do for centuries.
