Mental characteristics
Personal history
Issimbul is the great torturer of the Hells, taking great pleasure in inflicting pain and torment upon the most vile souls in the Hells. While he is Nyxion's brother and worthy of a higher position on the ladder than he's at currently, it is in fact his brother's influence that keeps him from progressing. Due to Issimbul's creation of the first (trueborn) tieflings during the Void Wars, Nyxion has been cross with him ever since. It is unknown why there's a conflict between them, but the fact remains that it exists. However, Issimbul isn't too upset by this setback, for he enjoys his work as the lord of Phiernos, where he can take out his anger on the poor unfortunate souls of those he gains possession of.
Employment
Issimbul acts as the great tormentor and torturer of the Hells, where he commits every cruelty possible upon the souls of cruel and torturous mortals. Issimbul receives not only these souls, but the souls of those being wrung out for their final moments of torment. Being the great tormenter, Issimbul also handles stubborn 'guests' that require 'convincing', as well as prisoners that require the finest of punishments.
