Gabriel 'Gayle' Garcìa
- 45yo Male Human Sorcerer who hails from the hamlet of Lark Rise, 2 miles out from the town of Candleford.
- A well-heeled eccentric, medium height, middle-aged and overweight, bronzed gentleman with peculiar behaviours and well-kept goatee.
- He has spent considerable time learning, practicing and perfecting the archaic art of scroll creation and potion brewing; hence why he has only attained an effective character level of 10, as any supplementary XP has been absorbed by his studies.
- Now free of any caretaker responsibilities, since the recent passing of his Grand Aunt Heidi who also was his academic mistress, he seeks out a remaining relative (there’s a second cousin once removed on his mother’s side).
- He has been tasked to deliver a family heirloom to a distant cousin as per instructions in Grand Aunt (Heidi) Formaldehyde’s will. One Lute, Masterwork (+2 Performance) belonging to her late brother in-law who’s Irving’s character’s great grandfather on his character’s maternal grandmother’s side.
- Eager to see the world and begin peddling his craft (not much of a market back home) he sees this trip as a wonderful learning experience. He one day aspires to make a living as a travelling (or teleporting) merchant.
- He is wearing a new Waistcoat of Useful Items and a recently inherited, but preloved, Cloak of Resistance (+3). He is carrying an Alchemist’s Lab, Artisan’s Tools, Masterwork and a Spell Component Pouch. He has no weapon/s apart from a new Adamantine Dagger, Masterwork, because he liked the novelty of it.
- He is also carrying a collection of his accomplishments thus far - a variety of 17 ready made scrolls, potions and oils. (to the tune of 20k worth)
- Gabe is more of a diner than a fighter and will take steps to avoid open combat.
- This being his first tour away from home he is little prepared in the way of armour and eventually may look for something that can benefit him in this department without hampering his look (Braces of Defence +?)

History
Gabe really has no say in Corvus’ presence or advice. But this doesn’t really bother him as he misses the guidance and omnipotent presence of his late mistress and sees this unwarranted connection as comforting. He sometimes chat’s to the bird revealing his inner thoughts when no one is around.
Nicknames & Petnames
Gabe will refer to Corvus as “The Professor” when recalling information his raven has provided, this raises the validity/curiosity of said information. Eventually anyone who pays attention or questions the identity of this moniker will work out who “The Professor” is and the raven will be known to the party.
Relationship Reasoning
Corvus has actually adopted Gabe as his familiar, not the other way round and has secretly been observing Gabe for some time before choosing him. Corvus' intentions are largely unknown. He only reveals information when necessary and is yet to respond to requests. The relationship is still in its infancy.
