Large crack

Picking the easiest option to get a chance to catch your breath, you contiue towards the crack in the mountain. As the darkness engulf you, you start to question your choice. Just as you are about to turn around, accepting your mistake, you slip on a wet rock and slide handlessly down a steep slope.
Somewhere sliding down you hit your head on a rock and it all goes black.
You slowly come to again. You're not sure how long you were unconsious but you have a unbearable headache and a suspected concussion. Looking around you, you see a small cave, with water dripping along the sides of the walls and with rising concern you realise that the floor is filled with scattered bones from what looks to be multiple dead animals in variying size.
Trying not to panic you hurridly get up and start looking for an exit.
Stumbling forward you put your hand against the cave wall for support, but together with the hard, wet and cold cave wall you also feel something soft brush against the back of your hand.
Suddenly there's an soft *pop* and the air fills with some sort of dust and you do a sharp intake of breath out of fright. You feel the dust, the spores! enter your eyes, your nose, your mouth. Panic grips you as the you feel yourself start to dissolve.
Screaming in agony you feel your skin melting, you reach up and try to gather yourself up in your hand but your arms are already liquefying to and your strength is failing fast. Somehow you're on your knees, crawling towards the incline you came from and as you reach up the slope trying to grasp at anything to get yourself out of here, your hands leave a thick coating on the rockface and you draw your last breath.
