Xaelohin

Political Climate

The political climate in Xaelohin is tense and rife with corruption. Ever since lethicite, a precious metal (similar properties with adamantine and soul-infused metals) was discovered in fallen meteorites in the three kingdoms, the Sigia Empire (a mostly human-dwarf nation holding mostly plains and mountains), the Thaeslevarian Coalition (An elven-beast-folk nation with most holdings in forests and seas), and the Eatheacia Confederacy (Holds trade cities on the coast, islands, and in-land resources) have been eyeing each other for tens of successions. It seems that these great nations are at the brink of war once again.

Geography

The geography of Xaelohin is incredibly diverse. From marshes and mountains to deserts and desolate wastelands, Xaelohin has it all.   Xaelohin is a rather long continent, stretching from the southern temperate zone to the northern arctic zone. The majority of the area is covered in vast stretches of plains, mountains, and forests with the occasional desert dotting the landscape.   There are four major rivers on Xaelohin: Elimlinet, Antitois, Saussons, and Godesea, all of which stem from nearby mountain ranges and ending into the salty waters of the Autumnbriand Expanse (West) and Ganavern Ocean (East).   The main mountain ranges are as follows: Marlris Range, Withurst Range, and Terrasse Cordillera. Each contains its respective summits, peaks, and valleys named after thousands of different people, places, and events.

Regions

The Northern Area of Xaelohin, also known as The Frozen North, is an extremely cold and desolate area. There lives nothing except for the fur-covered yeti, armored dragons, and a handful of mortal souls that risk their lives on the outskirts of society. Those that choose to live here are brave, fools, or have something to hide.   The Dry Lands is a remove desert blocked by the Withurst Range in the South. In the middle lies an oasis where weary travelers may rest their heads. Those who live in the sandy wasteland live isolated from the rest of society or settle in one of the two villages that lie on the roads that link the Sigia Empire and the Thaeslevarian Coalition together.   The Sacred Grove in the South is a mysterious place. Bordering the Marshlands, it is a place of pure magic and beauty. Besides its extraordinary appearance, there lies a long-dormant link to the Feywilds, whose effects still influence the surrounding forested area and it's mainly elven people.
