The Junction Of Gods

The Junction Of Gods is an organisation run by Deus Ex Machina for Deus Ex Machina.

Structure

Everyone in the Junction has an equal say in all matters. It's entirely democratic. Even Deus Ex Machina that're millions of light years away send out FTL messenger probes in order to vote.

Public Agenda

The Junction acts almost like a workers' union as well as a way for deus Ex Machina to socialise with each other. They negotiate with humans in order to gain the compromises that will suit everyone well. They also settle disputes between Deus Ex Machinaz and reprimand any who've misbehaved. As well as this, they're also a unified fighting force and will defend each other in times of great need. Since Deus Ex Machina from both in and outside of the Technocracy are part of the Junction, they help to ensure that nobody harms one another, having a universal peace pact between Deus Ex Machina. This also means that A Deus Ex Machina may only join a war if they themselves are under threat.

Assets

Even just a single member has access to an entire star system worth of resources. The Junction contains over 100 billion members all with their own industry, trade, and military.

Demography and Population

None directly hold their own land; they're still citizens of whichever nation they reside in. They're spread all across Laniakea, with the wealthier core galaxies containing a higher frequency of citizens and the poorer outer galaxies containing fewer.

Technological Level

The Junction actually knows how to build some of the most powerful technologies in the universe, such as wormholes, nightmare cannons, and telekinetic implants. It just so happens that these technologies are simply too dangerous to construct and so the Junction keeps them a secret from all other species. This, incidentally, is also why the Cinis have access to such enigmatic technologies; they were created by a Deus Ex Machina after all.

Foreign Relations

The Twilight Confederation mostly supports the Junction but the Laniakea Imperial Technocracy dislikes their autonomy. A single Deus Ex Machina, though difficult to control, can still be subject to all of their demands. With over 100 billion joined in unison, the Technocracy is subject to them since even they would never be able to win a war against them. Attempts have been made to build Deus Ex Machina that will be tortured if they should even think about joining the Junction but this was unsuccessful given that the Junction itself threatened to annihilate the Technocracy. All in all, many are terrified of the Junction despite their ethical nature.

Agriculture & Industry

Their collective industry is worse than the Laniakea Imperial Technocracy's and the Twilight Confederation's, but this is due to the fact that most of the factories that they run don't actually belong to them. In times of need, they have been known to turn rogue and start manufacturing robots without their nation's consent. This will usually annoy the nation but they won't be able to do much more than complain to the Junction who may or may not choose to intervene depending on the reason for the unauthorised production.

Deus Ex Machina will perform trials for accused criminals and all will vote at the end to determine whether or not they were guilty. Though, due to their God-like intelligence, even a single Deus Ex Machina would have perfect 100% success rate. The democracy aspect only exists as a result of their inbuilt morality.
