Weylin's Nook

Frequently referred to simply as Nook, this is a small village in the north-eastern part of Pacifica on the edge of the lands settled by humans.

Demographics

Most of Nook's population are either loggers or elk ranchers. The town does not have a lot of wealth and is mostly lower class workers trying to scrape out a living deep in the mountains. It is almost an exclusively human town, the number of non-human residents could be counted on one hand.

Industry & Trade

Timber is the main industry and Nook makes most of its money by harvesting "red gold" from the local redwood forests. The second largest industry in Nook is the raising of elk for both transportation and food.

Infrastructure

Dirt roads, lumber mills, ranches, an inn, a couple saloons, and a general store. There is talk that a railroad may be constructed in the future to help with the transportation of lumber to Haven and other towns.

Geography

Nook lies in a mountain valley on the bank of the Trine River.
