Keeper's Love

"Everyone knows about Keeper's Valley. Well, did ya know the story about the first two keepers?"   "No. Does it have romance in it?"   "Romance, action, adventure, all of that."

Summary

If you go to Keeper Valley, they've got places around the valley with information. This is where this happened, this is where this happened. It's all been edited and watered down; those who research the valley know the real story.   When the Valley was found by the first two keepers, they never wrote down that there was a link between them. They didn't even talk about it much either. They were from different mountains, different groups, and it was speculated that both of them were worried their feelings of love were blossoming because of the close brush of death that had happened when they were wandering the snow.   It wasn't though. They realized that when their kin found them and told them to leave the Valley and come home. Both of them protested, saying that they felt a calling to be a guardian to the amazingly beautiful area that they'd just found. Their families argued about this, but in the end, let them go to stay in the valley; they left and went back to their lives on the mountain.   That was the first fight, the two of them defending their ideals and wants against the wishes of the tribes as a whole. When it was just them again, they admitted to each other that they were in love. The next few seasons went well. They, it's said, listened to the valley and what the valley wanted as well, and the valley told them it wanted to remain a place of beauty and love.   Then there came a third tribe. This tribe wasn't related to either of theirs and they didn't listen. They wanted to live in the valley and send the resources back to their tribes home. The two lovers tried to negotiate, and when that failed, there only chance was to defend against the attack.
