The world of Hellion used to be a place of castles and knights, battles and honour, devoted to the worship of the Exemplari Pantheon.
This changed 400 years ago when a cult of the Liberti Conclave came to their world, spreading a message of freedom from kings and blind duty. The world was rocked by revolutions and the formation of new republics, while the conflict gradually escalated over a period of decades. The gods themselves were summoned to Hellion and fought alongside their followers for the dominance of their ideologies.
Within a generation the world was renamed Hellion's Crypt and its people reduced to scavengers of a barren desert.
