Wendlish

Wendlish is the language of the Wendikal people. The language has both written and spoken components to it, with its written form possessing its own unique script. Wendlish has two distinct dialects based on geographic region. One from speakers of the The Howling Woods and one from those in the Southern Steppe. Wendlish sees almost no non-native speakers as the language is notoriously difficult to learn.

Wendlish is described as a guttural language with many harsh consonants. Words with similar sounds will confer different meanings based on tone. Many outsiders attempting to learn Wendlish struggle to understand the complex ways that different individuals adress one another, often depending on context like social standing between participants and what is being discussed.

Perhaps most confusing is how the "tense" of the language changes depending on the phase of Dis being refereed to. Even within the common past, present and future tenses, there are tenses for waxing, waning, full and gibbous phases of the moon.
