Born to the Jarl and Baroness of Aldmarsh, he was groomed from birth to take his fathers place.
Spared from the horrors of the world as the region was peaceful. A marriage between Cailean and Princess Cáirtriona Stillcáirn was arranged in 528. As nobility goes, they knew each other some from before, there were no love among them however and Cailean spent a long time getting used to his life as a married man and what it entailed. Slowly they grew to respect and admire each other. In 533 - his 3 years younger sister had vanished, never to be heard from again.
In the summer of 535, The Alepond - Oldgarde war had been raging for almost 4 years and the king gathered his vassals to put an end to it. Cailean's father, the Jarl answered the call never to return - poisoned during the conflict, he passed away days later. Cailean's mother, sick with the grief of loosing both her daughter and her husband died not long after the war had ended, leaving him as
the last of the Aldmarsh, a line that is held in great esteem had been living in this very spot since people started to brave the great
mountains, fleeing the Old Kingdoms.
