Apophis (Gas Giant)

Apophis is the primary planet for the four habitable satellites on which this project will focus. It is unique in comparison to other celestial objects in that it gives off a special chemical Haze that bombards its moons and gives people magic or (for those less magically inclined) a resource to utilize in technological advancement. The range of the Haze is finite, and has varying levels of effect as that distance grows.

Geography

Apophis is a Class II Gas Giant with reflective clouds similar to those of Earth, but the atmosphere consists mainly of hydrogen and hydrogen-rich molecules such as methane, giving it a blue hue. It is similar in size to Jupiter at 40198 km in radius. It takes 1601 days to complete its orbit around both of the suns. There are 27 moons orbiting Apophis. Four are habitable and tidally locked to their parent. Three are orbiting inside Alpha moon’s orbit and inhabitable. The remaining 20 are also inhabitable, most little more than asteroids caught in Apophis's in orbit.
