Clandestine Special Officer Adler Rust (a.k.a. Atlas's monster, Zodiac's harshest teacher)

Adler is a former operative in Atlas's clandestine intelligence operations branch and served in many different conflicts around the world of Remnant. According to his colleagues, he's described as having a dark charisma with an aura that commands respect. After he retired from his work he moved around Remnant for reasons unknown and has just recently been hired as a survival, covert tactics, and combat teacher at Zodiac Academy.

Semblance Oxidation: Adler's semblance. His semblance allows him to corrode and oxidize any type of metal turning it brittle and rusty with just a touch of his hand. He wears gloves just in case he unconsciously activates his semblance.

Before the Fall: Adler has short brown hair styled into a flattop style and has light brown eyes. He wears a brown leather jacket and blue jeans. He also wears a pair of aviator glasses.
After the Fall of Zodiac: After the Fall Adler now wears a navy blue, waterproof jacket with a custom-designed bandolier that holds his pistol magazines with different Dust ammo. The bandolier is worn sash-style across his chest. He also wears blue jeans with a special holster for his weapon.

Personal history

Early life, military service, and hiring as a Beacon Academy teacher: Adler was born in the city of Atlas on the 22nd of February, 2048 to former intelligence members Albert Rust and Pelia Sol of the Atlesian Intelligence Service. During his academic life, Adler obtained many academic honors due to his studious and no bullshit attitude. At the age of 18, he enlisted into the Atlesian Army and at the age of 25, he surrendered his Army rank and was recruited into the Atlesian Intelligence Service SCOD (Special Clandestine Operations Division). From there he took part in many black operations in Vacuo and in Menagerie and rose through the ranks eventually obtained the rank of Station Combat Chief in May of 2073. In 2075 Adler disappeared from AIS records but continued to be associated with AIS and various other clandestine operations. Adler recently retired from the AIS in 2088 and traveled around Remnant for reasons unknown. At one point in his life, he was married and had a son, and both unfortunately passed as a result of a Grimm attack on their town. He doesn't enjoy talking about his family with others and tries to keep it hidden from everyone he knows. On February 1, 2089, Adler was hired by Zodiac Academy as a survival, covert tactics, and combat teacher.
Fall of Zodiac/Fall of Zodiac: During the Fall of Zodiac Adler assisted Lazarus and his friends in the city of Zodiac. During the tumultuous 25 hours, Adler is responsible for saving countless innocent civilians alongside Lazarus and his group. Also during the Fall Adler is credited with killing some minor leaders of the White Fang and Insanus Hominum. He is amongst the last 2500 evacuees from the city before the United Settlements bombing. After the Fall his whereabouts are unknown after he split off from the remainder of Lazarus's team and friends. He is rumored to be operating in the ruins and in the outskirts of Vale pursuing the leadership of the Valean White Fang branch and the Insanus Hominum.
After the Fall of Zodiac: After the Fall Adler alongside SAD groups from the United Settlements, Mistral, Vacuo, Fuso, and Rusia pursued people who were found to have a connection to the fall and attack of Beacon. He was then hired by the United Settlements FIASAD to help Kori and the others topple the Insanus Hominum leadership. For the next 2 1/2 months, Adler and the others would pursue the top leadership of IH and ultimately destroy the organization in the summer of 2090.
