Iris Creek

Guaranteed happiness or your money back.

Written by Honeycakes

Iris creek is a small, quaint town with miles of farmlands and but a single church. It is famously the safest place in the world for the Cliff side town faces little to no violent threats. When it was created, a mass calm emotions spell was said to blanket the town in tranquility. Monuments are placed at every corner containing the precious gemstones harboring this power. It not only calms the spirits of the residents inside the town, but a massive bronze dragon that lies dormant beneath the town in a permanent slumber. At least, as permanent as you can get with the amplified power of a few gems imbued with a second level spell. As long as the sapphire-like crystals stay in one piece, in their respective places, no harm will come to the sleepy town of iris Creek.

Mythology & Lore

Long ago, a powerful cleric belonging to the faith of the earth god, Haya, crushed a mountain into the size of a cliff in a show of strength, cleaving the mountain in twain and burying a dragon it its layer in the process. Little did they know they created the perfect grounds for agriculture. Thus, a village was born. This village soon grew to size of a small country which made home for dozens of farmers and bakers. The Cleric knew they had to protect the villagers, for the weight of a mountain can only hold a wyrmling for so long. They sought guidance from their god and put their powers to use gifting the town the sapphires of three. Afterwords, the cleric buried themselves beneath the town to keep both the soil, and the dragon sustained.
