Glory
Glory is an optional rule set that gives a way to reward characters in a way other than experience or items. Over the course of a campaign characters may overcome incredible odds that deserve a greater reward. Glory is a resource that can be awarded in such scenarios. In addition GMs may feel it appropriate to award Glory for exceptional roleplay, or for completing personal storylines.
Glory can be awarded to individual characters or to a group of characters as a whole. All Glory has a set tier of one through six and an affinity that influences what it does. Characters should keep track of their Glory and its affinities as they gain it, and keep careful track of what Glory is spent on.
Glory is an obscure resource that is meant to be used somewhat out of character. Glory can be spent on anything the GM allows, however the most common uses are upgrading items, and empowering rituals. Using Glory to upgrade items allows a character to have items they like or is important to them to grow in power as they grow in power. In the same vein using Glory as part of spells and rituals allows characters to surpass their normal limits and achieve greater effects. These are not the only aspects Glory can be used for, and GMs should be encouraged to allow Glory to be used during Roleplay and Cinematic situations.
