Curators

A title shared across the world, while probably not spoken in the same way, each region has a name for it. One that, while not applied to rulers specifically, gives the title-holder influence over their region. A title that is often tied to those who enforce the laws, like royal guards or policing forces. Warriors from tribes and leaders in small groups all share the term.

Job

Named after their responsibility to protect, or 'curate' the greater population of a region and remove criminals or those who seek to harm others, Curators have been in practice for centuries. Unlike most law-enforcing organizations, Curators swear an oath to the people in a ceremony meant to express their vulnerability and sincere dedication to helping better the community they live in.
The first three years of service are spent entirely on training, two of these years are in school and the third is while shadowing a veteran curator. Additional training is required throughout one's term, varying in subjects such as taking care of important political figures to diffusing civilians. Curators regularly refine their skills and prove their worth either through tests or above-and-beyond actions off duty. A Curator's image is important, as it is the general population's impression of each Curator that determines if they continue their career or not.

Uniform

Most versions of the Curators wear helmets or some form of face-covering, though the intensity and style depend on the culture and location. Often these covers are loose but durable; so it can be removed if necessary and deflect a good portion of damage received in aggressive and intense situations.
