Wonderlin
Wonderlin is casual a solo RPG where you play as a charter in the world searching out its animal inhabitants and exploring its wild places, all while taking notes along the way. While dangers can be found within the gme, it can be to be a largely peaceful experience. Though this can all be changed up by how you choose to play!
How to Play
First look for a location that has a compatible Wonderlin Sheet. When you have found one simply roll 1d6 for each creature on a listed table, this is called a group roll. For each creature, you roll high enough on its rarity score for you will get a chance to encounter it.The Basics
Rarity & Rolls
When looking for animals, the first thing you will probably encounter is a creatures rarity. This is made up of one large number followed by a smaller number, most often underneath. The first number is how or above you must roll to successfully come across that specimen. The smaller number underneath is how many times you must then confirm that same roll to actually see it. More common creatures may not have any confirmation number at all, in which case you only need to roll the dice once to find it.Confirming Rolls
To confirm a role you must simply re-roll it to try and get the same or higher number as was required before. However, you may only continue confirming that roll if you have succeeded in the previous confirmation. For example to spot a Dire Dush you may need a score of 4|2. So to see it first you would need to get a 4 or higher on its group roll. Then roll again for that same roll, then again if you succeeded. Only after getting at least three 4 or higher in a row do you actually find it.Taking Note
If you are playing narratively, make sure to take note of what creature you found and where you found it. Over time you will build up a little story of your adventures that you can look back on or even use in your own stories. Rember if you are playing in the world of Ullthwaygon you are completely free to use anything you encounter in any of your creative works, even commercially. So long as you provide a link back to the world and any systems or content you feature prominently. While the world is still growing you can even send in these stories and any characters that come along with in to be made into an official part of the Wiki! More information can be found in the Ullthaygon ContractScoring
Wonderlin is primarily intendeed as a narrative game, however, if you would like a more casual experience or an extra layer to the game. When playing in any competition since it is a very good idea to keep track of any official roles, especially for rarer creatures. The Badges are as follows:
