Baskus struck the blow that broke the back of the empire. Many say his terrible reign was a great terror into the hearts of men like no other king was before him. Though the scars on the wrist and the backs of those he had freed would tell you a different tale.

Lanticran, or Crab Ogres, are heavy-set crab-like humanoids. it would be easy for me to jump to conclusions in one way or the other, but for this study, I will endeavour to keep this strictly academic.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They have often eaten sea shells while in my company. Quite strange is the practice, though it does seem a bit more appropriate than chugging a gallon of milk.

History

Lanticran has often been associated as beasts of burden as much as the oxen in the northern plains. Though it has been thought that is wrong to own a man to do your labour, and I believe that they are so indeed.

Racial Features

Heavy Shell

Your shell is thick and heavy giving you immense protection at the cost of dexterity.
Your natural AC is 16, and you may add +2 to the AC of any body armour you ware.* You are also naturally proficient with the use of heavy armour. / However, your AC is not increased by your Dexterity modifier. Due to your heavy shell, you are unable to swim and will sink to the bottom of any body of water. Your gills and your lungs are working at peak capacity to support your armour, causing you to automatically fail any saving throws against suffocation. You are considered to be wearing heavy armour for the purpose of class ability and do not benefit from the AC increase of unarmored defence.

Your shell is much softer than those of your comrades. Though as a silver lining you much faster than them too.
Your AC is 12.

Survival

Milk and Iron

Your body is strong, but that shell of yours will grow weak if you do not get the right minerals in your diet. A good source of calcium such as milk, and a great source of iron, such as space or mushrooms is essential.
You need a strong amount of calcium and iron to be in your diet. If you fail to do so you will start to lose your natural AC, down to 10. The create at which this happens is down to your DM, though it will usually set in after a few days. You need at least twice as much calcium as you do iron.  

Powerful Jaws

Though not suited to delivering damage in combat, you have powerful jaws that are capable of breaking down some of the hardest organic materials.
You use your jaws to break down otherwise unreadable organic materials like bone or sea-shells, which are both coincidentally a good source of calcium. You may break down wood though it does not provide you with any sort of sustenance as your body can't digest it.

Requires Heavy Shell
While raging you may charge at an opponent using your movement speed to get to them. On reaching them if you manage to land your first melee attack against them; They will be sent backwards half the distance you travelled*. Additionally, half the distance you have travelled* to the damage of this attack.
*Distance is rounded down when calculating damage or travel distance. Only movent taken directly towards the target counts for the purpose of this ability.
