"It is said that Ahkoona where made from the union of a bear and racoon when Akitha pressed her had against them both. With their resident energies that Ahkoona possess, I believe this may well be so."
— Edmund the Confessor

Standing taller than a man but smaller than a bear comes the Ahkoona, a bear-like fellow with some of the tiniest hands in all the land.   Like all bears, they seam to have a propensity for honey and all that comes covered in it. (Further writing missing)
— An incomplete transcript by the author Leskin Wells, famed writer of the Dromderay

Racial Features

Tiny Hands

For a creature your size, your hands are undeniably tiny. Yet this comes with the advantage of a greater dexterity they may escape the notice of others. | You have disadvantage when using any none-fineness medium or larger weapon. However, you are nimble fingers allow you to re-roll a failed sleight-of-hand check up to Onece-per-day + once for ever four character levels you possess. You have no penalty using small or tiny tools or weapons. And your claws function as an inbuilt set of thieves tools.

Bear Stare

Your people have always had the power of an intense stare, its power reflection on the power of the user. | As a standard action, you may maintain an intense stare with a target so long as you can maintain eye contact with it. Creatures that chose to avoid this stare take disadvantage on any actions them may make against you until it either stare ends or they move out of view. While maintaining the stare has the following effects upon the target failing their saving throw:

From Level 1 Onwards

  • Saving Throw DC: 10+Wis+Cha
  • The target feels greatly uncomfortable taking disadvantage on their next action

From Level 5 Onwards

  • Saving Throw DC: 12+Wis+Cha
  • The target begins to feel nauseated taking disadvantage on their next action, losing their bouns action and having their movement speed reduced by 5ft. until the next turn.

From Level 9 Onwards

  • Saving Throw DC: 12+Wis+Cha
  • Damage: 2d6+Cha Fire (None-Lethal) | Halved on a successful saving throw.
  • The target is brought on with a burning fever, taking disadvantage on their next action, losing their bouns action and having their movement speed reduced by 15ft. until the next turn.

Exceptions

Constructs and Mindless creatures are immune to this ability, along with most Eldritch or Alien-minded creatures. Demons and other such creatures that thrive on hate may instead be empowered or even healed by this ability instead.

Pryo Aversion / Radiant Light

You are completely averse to the direct use of fire in your actions, save for what may come from your stare. Fortunately, you have the innate ability to convert any fire in you magic into radiant light instead. | All magical and Racial abilities that make use of fire damage (Except for you Bear Stare) have their damage type replace by radiant damage. As a racial Cantrip, you may convert any small flame, such as the light of a torch or candle into a bright yet heatless magical light, making to the light spell. Lights converted in this way no longer deal any fire damage and cast their light for an additional 10ft. No matter the original source of the light the new magical light last for one hour before exhausting unless extinguished.
