With females growing larger than most elephants and possessing an impressive intellect. And males being completely feral bests growing no larger than a modest dog. making them somewhat of an inverse to *Stromdresk. Male Achinacks have a fairly limited lifespan compared to their female counterparts and exist only to attempt to further their species. An act that will always prove fatal regardless of success.

Achinacks have an extraordinary capacity to hold onto magical energy. Granting almost all of them to develop some manner of magical ability if they survive long enough. In rare cases, this can lead to males surviving a full season to be able to break out of their natural lifespan. So long as they spend enough time in areas of high magical concentration.
Growth Rate & Stages
All Achinacks start as Lava after hatching. After some time, they are drawn to nest in places of great warmth and if available, warmth and magic. Lava that nests in places of only warmth will form into males. With the temperature deciding on their size and potential supernatural abilities. Lava that grows in places of warmth and magic will develop into the longer-lived Females. This habit of nesting in places of warmth and magic leads to the majority of Lava finding their way into the hives and foundries of the Kessomae. Where the majority of adult Achinacks hold their allegiance.
Ecology and Habitats
Dietary Needs and Habits
Male Achinacs are able to eat just about anything biological, from softer trees to poisonous frogs. But they greatly prefer red meat and will act with complete disregard for their own safety to obtain it if it is available. Female Achinacs are also omnivorous but lack the ability to eat anything outside of a human-style palate.
Achinacks in general have a significant resistance to poisons and toxins, usually resulting in a large buildup inside them if such prey is in ready supply. This, combined with their fearsome nature, makes both sexes an unappetizing food item for any strong enough to consider it an option. Both sexes are able to fully handle eating extra-dimensional creatures. That, with their ability to thrive in extreme heat, makes them a considerable threat to most things people find demonic.
Biological Cycle
Female Achinacks have a lifespan affected mainly by their size. While they continually grow as they age, their organs struggle to keep up with the speed of growth of the rest of their body. Leading to an eventual breaking point where they cannot support their own body. Male Achinacks live a comparatively short lifespan up to the length of about one season. They do not grow during thier life with their size depending on the circumstances of their hatching/creation.

Common Dress Code
Due to joints between their segments of natural body armour being the most vulnerable points on their body, and the nature of their reproductive cycle. It is considered a vital covering of one's modesty to cover one's joints, even if only with fabric.
