The Blue Mountain; Kingslayer; Faren of the Kaus Media

The eldest son of Markelhay Kaus Media, Faren - the eventual crowned head of San Fancillieth - was born to the casteless families of the Easthill Plantation. There are little prospects of them escaping the harsh working conditions, until he impressed the previous King of San Fancillieth - Eyoas the Griffon.

Eyoas was delving in eldritch secrets in an attempt to maintain a pure human bloodline. Over the years, Faren watched his step father becoming paranoid and violent - turning to increasingly more foul and corruptive methods to extend his life. It when Eyoas killed Faren's lover to fuel Eyoas' blood alchemy, the youth knew his sponsor was beyond saving. During the Week of Three Wars; Faren had managed to ralley a milita behind him, along with some of the Ruling Families who saw what would happen to them, and overthrow Eyoas the Griffon.

Once the rebellion was over, it was said that Faren turned down a crown. He chose, instead, to judge the Ruling Families, and commission them to look after routine commerce and public projects, ensuring the city does not fall in on itself in civil war.
