A she-wolf mistrusts the Barlows and suggests throwing them out. Nocturne fights for the humans and the she-wolf backs down.

The Barlow family relaxes, helping the pack camp when a werewolf sneers at them thinking they will be betrayed. Nocturne steps up for the Barlows and eventually the she-wolf backs down. Nox leaves for her own tent where her brothers makes fun of her. They playfight eventually, when she returns to her tent Matt waits for her. He wonders if he will owe her anything and why she helps them. They fall asleep fighting.
