Session 56 (18. 12. 2019)
On the Plane of Earth, Lia and Penrose took the Elemental Temperer's Band they'd taken off a guard's corpse, and released a juvenile bulette from it. Lia then placed Khess into the item, thus keeping the blitzschlange safe in the future and saving her from further suffering on her opposing elemental plane. Afterwards, they spent some time studying the staves they'd stolen from the prison and figured out how to use them to immobilize a person, which they planned to do to Djaro. Meanwhile, Obediah spent some time with the raks, caring for them and making sure they knew to obey him better than before.
On the following morning, the trio continued their journey and finally came to the Fractured Spine. They found a relatively safe looking cave for the raks, and began the long hike up the first plate. Soon enough, however, they were attacked by mud elementals. They successfully fought them off, though it was a tough battle.
They made it to the peak of the first plate, and faced a deep chasm between it and the second plate. Lia flew the group across, and they found a suitable campsite about a quarter of the way up the second plate.
On Ellisan Velis, Morgyn, Kim, Isadora and the newly resurrected Vincent reconsidered the idea to go to Neaf Lilthas. Instead, Morgyn notified Mokki that he couldn't perform the resurrection ritual for them (thus leaving his magical flask that he'd given them as collateral, with Lia's blood inside). Then they traveled back to Vezejin's island, hoping to convince her to plane shift them home.
They exchanged pleasantries, and Vincent invited her to visit their home as a sign of friendship after her help in resurrecting him. Vezejin found the trip a great idea, turned into a little gnome lady, and shifted the whole group to the portal's coordinates.
Nyx was waiting for them there, overjoyed to see them, including Vincent, alive. She let them know that Carthigan was in Highspire at the moment, and they didn't have much food at home, but would get what she could for their guest. Vezejin for her part seemed very interested in every part of the Material Plane; meanwhile, Isadora discovered that this plane was far more hospitable for an earth genasi than the Plane of Air. They all sat down in the lounge for a chat.
