Session 24 (23. 01. 2019)

It took awhile for the rest of the group to catch up to Kim and Aella. Vincent enlarged Kim while Lia hastened Aella and Leaf began to summon animals to fight for them, first giant vultures then bears. Gunter rushed forward while Verdent carried Viktor, who couldn’t keep up with the others. More and more orcs joined the fray, a group of them had even been lying in wait to the south. An arrow struck Lia, disrupting her concentration which made Aella stumble in sudden exhaustion. Meanwhile, getting surrounded by orcs, Leaf shapeshifted into a juvenile dire beaver. Slowly they gained the upper hand. An orc chased Lia around until she was saved by Gunter, while Verdent and Viktor went to engage the ambushers. Kim dealt with the archers. Leaf and Kharish worked together to dispatch the orcs who had attacked them. When it was over, Leaf healed those who were badly hurt and the group went to explore the orc camp. They found some tents, but nothing much of interest in them. More interestingly, there was a cave entrance at the back. Looking into the small cave, they were greeted by a disturbing sight. An altar with corpses on it, the walls covered in runes written in blood; and standing at the very back, staring motionlessly at the wall, a giant of a man, skinless, with the evil aura of a fiend. This was the demon Makuba. As Gunter and Viktor advanced into the cave, the battle began. Lia hastened Kim and Kharish, who rushed in with Verdent. Leaf turned into a giant constrictor snake and grappled Makuba, who grabbed Kharish by the head and smacked her into the others. Vince, Aella and Lia stayed outside, taking potshots at the demon through the entrance. As they began wearing Makuba down, suddenly, the runes began to glow, and a wall of blood blocked the cave entrance. Those inside were hit with a blood curse.
