Session 20 (19. 12. 2018)

The party spent the day travelling, and decided that they’d summon the Emissary in the evening. When the time came, she arrived as requested. They had a long discussion with her, during which they compared notes about the Felheart/Nightstone, and told her that Forxar could make it possible to destroy the thing. She also told them more about the Mother, including that she was sometimes referred to as Mama Nanzi. (Unbeknownst to the party at this point, this meant that she was another Primal Field like Carthigan’s patron, Dal Zarma. The spider, to be specific.) Eventually, they all came to an agreement. The Mother wouldn’t mind if the Felheart was destroyed, but if it was brought to her, she would reward them: she would grant Lia passage to the Plane of Air, and rid Carthigan of his pact. He would have his soul back, but he would lose the power Dal Zarma had given him. The Emissary also gave them the location of Sshilcass, where Newmont was heading, and confirmed that the Felheart was also there. She warned them that Newmont most likely served Zel Tarka, the Bloodied Crocodile. She also pointed out the location of Mama Nanzi herself. She also gave Vincent a very powerful ring that could be used to force its wearer to tell the truth. Then she shook hands with Gunter, sealing their agreement. After the Emissary departed, Carthigan had a heart-to-heart with the group. He told them all about his deal, his motivations, his thoughts on selling his soul. He also showed them a voodoo doll he’d been carrying around. Vincent offered to help figure out who it represented.
