Session 19 (12. 12. 2018)

After spending the night in the troll cave, the party traveled on and entered the Wildlands proper. The air grew hot and humid, the forest turned into jungle, and it was a less-than-pleasant journey. On the second day, they came across a strange trail of broken trees that cut across the jungle. Since it seemed to lead in the direction they wanted to go, they decided to follow it. Needless to say, this turned out to be a terrible idea when they came across two dire beavers that had been munching on the trees. As the creatures were incredibly tough, a drawn-out battle ensued. Gunter was enlarged by Vince and immediately tried to wrestle one of the beavers, with limited success. Lia hastened Big Boy Gunter and Kim, then tried her best to stay out of everyone’s line of fire. Aella flew up to shoot from above. Carthigan and Viktor got squeezed between the two creatures while Shegal tried desperately to keep everyone alive. As the fight grew desperate, Vince threw a fireball, which Lia duplicated, then finished one off with a lightning bolt. The party whittled down the remaining one, and it eventually fled. Not bloodthirsty at all, Aella finished it off as it was running away.
