Highspire

Highspire is the capital of the eponymous Regency. Once, it was a small town known for the tower in its center, but when ablooneum was first discovered nearby, it became the country's industrial, scientific, and eventually political center. Today, it is one of the largest cities in the world, and most people assume it was named after the enormous spire in its newly built city center, the original, much smaller tower long-forgotten.
Highspire has four main quarters. The western quarter is the richer part of the city while opposite of it, the eastern quarter contains poorer areas. North is the industrial sector, south lies the commercial district.
The most important landmark is, of course, the Spire itself. An enormous, 300 feet tall tower in the middle of the city, which serves as the seat of government as well as an airship port. Or it did until 2060, when it was destroyed by an enraged elemental lizard.
