Naiadeem (nigh-ah-deem)

Before the Junivian States were divided into their fourteen disparate parts, the naiadeem people were the most prominent culture of the southwestern continent. Primarily made up of jaskin, dwarves, and humans, the naiadeem fished the waters of the Western Gulf Ocean and Scopic Ocean without much connection to the politics of the Jeweled Lands until the Junivian Concord was signed in 443 AE.   Aside from a shared reliance on gabapa fishing and yikt cultivation, there is a common sense of rough survivalism that surrounds naiadeem culture. Most traditional naiadeem villages still produce all of their own clothing, food, and tools, with the exception of kerinite foci that can only be obtained in the east. Their values can be compared to that of the yootogembi people, due to significant cross-pollination of their cultures over time as the two largest demographics on the western coast of Twinsun. Even as tribes stratified into countries, the naiadeem and yootogembi remain on good terms with one another.
