Beginning of the Imperial-Stawen War

Military action

In response to Imperial armies passing through their territory, the Stawen Dynasty declares war on the Imperium.

Despite its weakened state, the Imperial military was still a considerable threat to the Gracian Confederation. After suffering a considerable defeat, the Confederate army retreated northward into Stawen lands. Unwilling to let them escape the Imperial army pursued, only to be met by Stawen forces. Though there was no direct confrontation, the Stawen Dynasty claimed that the Imperium had violated its sovereignty by crossing into its borders, and subsequently issued a formal declaration of war.
