Half-Mask of Gaule

Gaule, god of cunning, is never seen without his mask. Already quite inscrutable, his mask hides his intentions so well that even the grand gods struggle to understand him¹. However, as legend tells, there was once a time when he was without his mask - the Clash of the Divines.
During the conflict, when battling against Yaradicil's pantheon, Gaule was dealt a blow to the head that split his mask in two. As one half shattered and fell, he clasped the remaining half to his face and retreated from the battlefield. He quickly reforged his mask and returned to the conflict, but the pieces he had left behind remained where they fell.
Despite being broken and only making up a half of the original, these fragments still held a measure of the power imbued by Gaule. Throughout the millennia that followed the Divine Accord, the half-mask fragments would occasionally surface, granting the cunning of Gaule to their wielders². At times only single fragments would appear, other times many fragments were used together, but never were all the fragments united back into the half-mask. What might happen should such a thing come to pass goes unknown...

Many groups have fought for control of the entire mask, but none have been so successful as The Black Dragon and The Undercourt. Already at odds, their desire for the half-mask has thrown them even deeper into conflict - particularly because they've found all the fragments. Unknown to each group, between the two of them they have collected the entirety of the half-mask. Should either figure this out it would undoubtedly be the start of something big...

How curious a thing to wear, a mask. His in particular, as it leaves both the eyes and mouth visible, those things which give us away the most. And yet...
