Annaliese Von Elden is the daughter of a prostitute who abused and neglected Annaliese, and a criminal, who got her mother pregnant. Ludwig discovered her at 13 when she was a few months old and developed an obsession with her. He named her Annaliese and every night he would go visit her. When his parents found out about this, they tried isolating Ludwig but he poisoned their wine, stabbed Annaliese's mother with a poisoned knife, and took Annaliese back to the Cold Fortress.
Physical Description
Annaliese is prone to getting sunburned. She's short due to the neglect and has a hard time gaining weight, which is why she is very skinny, despite Ludwig feeding her large portions.
Annaliese is very pale and has sensitive skin which is caused by her albinism. She is short and skinny which may be an effect of her lack of food and sunlight as a young child

When out in the cold, Annaliese would wear grey leggings, black boots with fur on top, a warm blueish grey winter coat with blue fingerless gloves. Annaliese was severely malnourished and underfed as her mother would starve her. She was also very dirty as her mother didn't want to clean her up. Ludwig was usually the one who took care of her and taught her how to walk, talk, and read. She would get sick often and had to sleep on the floor. After Ludwig killed Hannah, he took Annaliese back home and spoiled her as he felt bad for her. Because of how neglected Annaliese was she was surprised by a lot of things. She was scared by mirrors and was surprised that her hair wasn't supposed to be dirty and tangled.
Annaliese was born in a pub. Once she was born Hannah put her in a wooden crate in a cold storage room and left her there to die. Ludwig found her and took care of her as he fell in love. As Annaliese grew older, Hannah became abusive, yelling at hitting Annaliese, often locking her in a closet when clients came. One day Hannah let a client hurt Annaliese and she cried about it to Ludwig, who killed Hannah and took Annaliese home. When she got older, Annaliese had romantic feelings for Ludwig, who shared those feelings. She ended up getting pregnant but ran away when she heard that Ludwig had to marry another women. Ludwig found Annaliese and locked her in the dungeon until Mitzi was born, then Ludwig hid her in a secret room. Unfortunately, Annaliese became mentally unstable and could barely talk due to isolation.
Ludwig taught Annaliese basics like reading, numbers, colors, and others. She later got better tutoring when Ludwig bought her back to his castle.
Seeing Ludwig every night when she was little bough her great joy. Ludwig would bring her gifts such as blankets, toys, as well as feed her. Being bought back to the castle after Ludwig stabbed her mother with a poisoned knife. Ludwig sharing his feelings with her when she grew up.
Running away from the castle when discovering she was pregnant with Ludwig's child. She was scared Ludwig would be mad and have her killed. Ludwig found her and locked her in the dungeon, leaving her there for almost a year.

She barely fed Annaliese, only once a day, and wouldn't change her diaper or wrap her up since it was very cold. As Annaliese got older, she was able to take care of herself a little. Hannah dressed her in an old white shirt she had. It hung off Annaliese and was dirty. Hannah refused to take care of Annaliese in the slightest bit, only occasionally feeding her, but the food was mostly bad or spoiled, like cold broth, cold, expired pea soup, and dry, stale bread, which Annaliese sick. She would vomit, have bad infections and fevers. Hannah would slap her for vomiting all over her. Hannah didn't bother naming Annaliese.
