The witch-queen of Kalin is murdered in her palace by unknown assailants.

Many historians believe this attack on the ruler of Kalin to be a part of the Second Looking Glass War. Kallista had pledged forces to the priestly order of the Silvan Eyes, but is said to have offered the same support to those attempting to bring about another full-fledged holy war between the gods of Arae She and the Mortal World.
