The Armory

Aboard the TSS Geisel lays one of the most important areas on the ship; the armory. The armory contains the majority of the ship's weapons and ammunition that was brought on when the ship departed earth. Since the main purpose of the ship was to explore deep space in hopes of finding another habitable planet for humanity, not many weapons were brought on. Most of the weapons in the armory are state of the art lazer guns while older iterations of humanities firearms, such as machine guns, are also present but not common.
The room is constantly guarded from those of the ship's protection group. Although no one in the past has tried to secretly acquire any items from the room, recent events have sparked that worry. Security camera's also monitor the room at all times, making theft even more difficult.

Purpose / Function

The armory holds most all of the ship's defense equipment, including firearms and armor. It is constantly guarded, though there has never been an issue of a ship member trying to break in for equipment.

Architecture

The premise of the armory is made up of a substantially-sized square room composed of concrete-like materials. There are no windows looking into or out of the room and not many vibrant lights expose the room's occupancy.

History

When the explorer ships were being built, an armory was installed to hold whatever defenses may be necessary for deep space exploration. Of course, since no conflicts were meant to partake on the journey, not many weapons were meant to be held in the space. The room. however, is said to be the most secure room on the ship, next to the captain's headquarters.
