Notebook One

Aston Barkley left his hometown with this notebook, meaning to document anything and everyone he comes across. This was the first of the 15 notebooks he would eventually write as he ventured out into the Dead Land.   The journal itself is of handmade design. Gum paper, most likely obtained in the land surrounding his hometown, bound together with string made from the same plant. In its current state, it contains exactly 97 pages, with many looking to be deliberately torn away for reasons unknown today. The notebook remains in good shape thanks to its resident, who keeps the pages legible and safe from mold and decay. Entries detailing the positions of stars date the book to be nearly 5,000 years old and spanning over the course of a year of his travels.   From its contents, it is known that these are Barkley's entries from before he entered the Dead Land, detailing his exploration of the Demon Forest and everyone he met along the way.
